It's Been A Long Time Coming

Being a big brother has kept me very busy, which explains my absence.  In case you were wondering yes, Reagan still is slightly scared of me.  You can see her pleading with me not to take her headband.  I love ripping those things off her head and trying to wear them myself.

We took Reagan to meet Great Grandma Corky for the first time. Reagan was less than pleased when Great Grandma held her because of the ice cold hands everyone had from their Frappuccinos.  Apparently Mommy isn't the only one obsesses with iced coffee drinks.

Since moving back into my crib, I have decided it necessary to take things to do in case I wake up in the middle of the night.  Mommy has to clean it out occasionally to make room for me to sleep. At last count, I had in my bed: 1 stacking toy, 1 pirate ship, 2 books, 5 of my Sesame Street friends, a toothbrush, a poker chip and a tower of Duplo Legos.  I tried to bring in my rocking horse but Mommy said it was a bit much.

I am doing my best to educate my sister on the world. Here I am explaining pretend food to her right before I stuffed some in her mouth. She wasn't very cooperative so I plugged her nose to get her to open her mouth for the corn. Apparently my Auntie Darcy used to do this to Uncle Raleigh to get him to take a bottle when he was a baby. Worked like a charm!

Leland escaped for the third time in his life. That dog can run like the wind and Mommy was no match for him in her slippers with Reagan bobble-head in her arms. By the time she got us in our carseats--15 minutes because naturally I had a dirty diaper and no pants on--Leland was long gone.  Lucky for us someone picked him up in a busy intersection and took him to the vet.  Unlucky for us, he ran so hard that the pads of his paws ripped off and were raw and bleeding.  Hence the cone of shame.  He was super doped up and tried to snuggle Reagan in her swing...obviously the cone got in the way. Reminds me of the time he got out when I was a baby:
That cone just makes this dog want to snuggle...or smother. Not sure which.

We have also been busy working on the house.  After some major countertop hiccups, Mommy had to take us to the granite yards to meet with the fabricator. Kids aren't supposed to be there so a young, unsuspecting sales guy was put in charge of me and we were set up in a cozy little office with a nice chair to conduct my own business meeting with my Sesame Street minions.  I got bored though and ran away from said sales guy who was supposed to be watching me.  Almost got myself hit by a fork lift.  Luckily for me, a nice man scooped me up just in time.  That rule about no kids at a granite yard makes sense now...

Reagan Two Month, Take 1:

Reagan Two Month, Take 2:
If she looks older in the take 2 photo, it's because mom had to wait until she was almost 2 1/2 months before she stopped crying. Yes, she still has colic.  On the upside, she is a whopping 9 lbs (7th percentile) and 21 3/4 inches (25th percentile). She's still a peanut but she's growing and her adjusted age puts her right on track.

And look who can consciously smile now.  It's fleeting but we now know she can do it!
