Closing Time

I haven't written in a while because we have been busy trying to find a place to live.  We sold our house in 12 hours. 12 HOURS.  It was awesome until Mommy and Daddy realized we would be on the streets in a month.  After two weeks of using 3 leasing agents to find an apartment or rental and countless hours of internet searches and appointments, Mommy was freaking out.  Turns out people aren't too thrilled about big dogs and short term leases.  Luckily, real estate agent extraordinaire Shannon, hooked Mommy and Daddy up with an awesome rental house and we can have all our stuff with us while we wait for the house to be finished. Shannon has been so good to our family and she even brought me a cake pop on inspection day!  We all just love her. In fact, while her sign is in the yard, I go play peek-a-boo with "Shan". I'm going to be sad when we close and we don't get to see her all the time. She is the best!

After weeks of no shoes and being loaded with antibiotics for the cellulitis I developed from my toe injury, I am finally feeling myself again.  I got really good at my routine of taking my meds and putting on my own ointment and feeding the dog my band-aids.

Mommy traded cars with Mimi so she could have a car that fits two kids and a dog.  It's a van. She said she feels a piece of her soul died trading in her SUV for a van.  I love it though.  So who cares!  My favorite part is playing car tag when she lets me out of my seat. I have so much more room for her to chase me around in!

I'm 22 months now and turning into a little boy. My favorite words are "No-no", "whoa", "poop", "cookie", "p-chocolate chip" and some words I probably shouldn't mention here. Mommy and Daddy may have slipped a couple of times with the naughty words in my presence.  It was no big deal until I started using these words correctly, now they are a little nervous to take me around other people.  I love chocolate, grilled cheese, bacon and fruit.  I had my first chocolate Munchkin donut on Mother's Day.  It was historic.  I am a bit of a neat freak and like my routines...particularly my daily walks. I love when Daddy reads me Pete the Cat, and I am pretty obsessed with Cookie Monster.

I am off to "pack" more. Say a prayer that our move goes well and Leland doesn't run away from us in the process. He's a bit of a mess these days!
