Call Me Maybe

Last weekend we celebrated Gigi's birthday.  I had lots of fun playing with Gigi and Papa G and I was sad to see them go.  Here I am with my birthday sign...if you look closely you can see remnants of my first ever bloody nose thanks to me taking a header onto Leland's sharp toy.

I weaseled my way into the Sunday Night Football pizza date night and tasted my first bite of Daddy's famous pizza.  Pizza, football, Daddy-time...it was GLORIOUS!

I have been getting into some more things I am not supposed to...matches, medicine, the liquor cabinet. Mommy and Daddy do a lousy job of baby proofing so I am giving them a glimpse into what my later years might be like if they don't get their acts together.  Here I am with my shot glasses playing mixologist like Mommy's cousin Blake. If I ever go to LA, I am going to get lessons from him at his bar Cinco!

Mommy and Daddy have been worried that I am mute but it turns out I am learning to talk on my own time table. I am mimicking a lot more these days so someone better tell my parents to watch their mouths or they might be sorry.

I am also having a great time these days Facetiming with Elmo.  Actually I love Facetime in general. Maybe you should call me and see for yourself!

We all braved a car ride with Leland to the vet. If you ever rode in the car with this dog, you would understand that we must have been desperate.  After two recent nips at me, Mommy and Daddy were desperate and called in the reinforcements, Dr. Davis, the Leland Whisperer.  Apparently for the next six months Leland and I are on supervised visits until I can figure out that I am treating him like a real jerk.  Dr. Davis is such a miracle worker that we had our first semi-quiet ride with Leland.  Thank God for Dr. Davis and Redbridge Animal Clinic.

Next week I will be reunited with three of my four favorite cousins and My Auntie Kelly and Uncle Andy. I can't wait!!!! I hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Halloween

Even though Mommy and I were sick this year, we pushed on to celebrate Halloween. On one of our many drug store trips this week, she picked up a pumpkin for us to carve.  As you can see, I was less than excited about this whole cleaning out the pumpkin business.

Since I am obsessed with the fox video, Mommy and Mimi found me a fox costume.  Gigi even found me a matching fox to carry with me! I may have been too sick to trick or treat but I rocked that costume.  What did this fox say? No one knows...because I still am not using real words.

And since I didn't get to go trick-or-treating, I decided to help myself to all of the Twix in our candy bowl.  Here I am getting the last of my stash before I got caught.

For those of you who recall, Halloween is extra special in our house because it is also Leland's birthday. This year, he celebrated the big 4.  Thanks buddy for not biting me when I yank your tail, poke your eye, goose you or bite your back. You're the best dog a boy could ask for!!! And you are VERY welcome for breaking into your food source and getting you some snacks. But I think Mommy and Daddy finally figured out why you are getting so fat....

Daddy's Staycation

When we got back from Breckenridge, I got spoiled by LOTS of Daddy time. He took the week off of work.  First stop: Topeka to visit Gigi, Papa G and the Topeka Children's Library.   Gigi worked really hard to raise money for it and it is awesome! We had so much fun in all the play areas. I definitely need to go back and see Gigi here before she retires!

Papa G even got into a car and read with me. Ignore the book he is reading...he's just putting the pressure on Mommy and Daddy for more grandkids.

The next day, we headed to Louisberg to check out the Pumpkin Patch and Cider Mill. We played in teepees and old forts.

I had a close encounter with some goats and pigs.

I ran through a corn maze.

And I rode down the hillside a billion times with Mommy and Daddy respectively.

Unfortunately, the Breckenridge germs caught up with us by the end of the week and I was sporting a fever of 103 by Daddy's last day of vacation.  Mommy was the next to fall. Then Lele...yeah even the dog got sick.  Daddy stayed strong.  You might look at this picture and ask, "Why does he look so happy?" Ah, ice cream. I got bowls and bowls of ice cream.
